Judges: Brian and Amy McConnell Beechmount Flock
Thank you to the Northern Ireland Dorset Club for inviting us to judge the 2024 Flock Competition. Each flock was a credit to their breeder and we thoroughly enjoyed our time judging. We are grateful to everyone for welcoming us so warmly to their farms and taking time to enthusiastically explain their flock’s pedigrees and bloodlines.
Our Champion flock is the Maineview Flock from Andrew and Caroline Kennedy. We were instantly impressed by the ewes who had style, power and tremendous breed character. Very close in Reserve are Samuel and Elaine Caldwell whose Ballymaconnelly Flock is full of smart ewes exhibiting excellent breed type.
